Academics

All Solterra Academy classes foster the overall development of the student in a structured, supportive learning environment. Each student's program is highly individualized according to the student's profile of strengths and areas of need.

Elementary School Classes

The elementary classrooms provide high-quality instruction for students in kindergarten through fifth grade. Elementary curriculum is guided by both the Connecticut Common Core State Standards (CCSS) and each student’s Individualized Education Program (IEP).

Students are also exposed to various pre-vocational and vocational experiences from career exploration to community job placement, as appropriate. Students will earn credit as approved by the district during the Planning and Placement Team (PPT) process.
